Wear at critical points, such as bearing seats, can have serious consequences for a loader crane. That’s why we take every inspection extremely seriously. Last week, a customer came to us with suspected impermissible play in the bearing area of the base boom of his crane.
After dismantling the fairings and a condition-based inspection, the suspicion was confirmed: bearing play outside the tolerance in the main bolt connection. There are no compromises in such cases. The component had to be dismantled, the bearing seats professionally refurbished and new original bearings installed.
Our certified technicians have used high-quality original spare parts and precisely coordinated the repair methods. Temperature management was essential to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Once the repair work had been completed and a new UVV inspection had been carried out, the crane was once again fully operational and up to date in terms of safety. A good example of why regular maintenance and UVV inspections are so important.
